D.J. CLELAND-HURA

VANCOUVER, BC

DOB: 1971
Born: Michigan, USA

About Artist:
D.J. found long ago that wildlife had captured his heart; as an avid naturalist and environmentalist, nature, in its infinite variety remains his primary subject matter. His oil paintings combine highly realistic passages with areas where detail is minimized but the surface texture retains the viewer's interest. Through the use of soft, diffused lighting effects, DJ creates an almost palpable sense of mood.
